When I photograph a wedding Its usually broken down into 4 parts; pre-wedding, the ceremony, after the ceremony and the reception. Here are some examples of the different stages.

Todd's Photographic Style

There are a vast amount of styles when it comes to wedding photography.  Some photographers shoot with a very traditional style, setting up almost every picture, and shooting every wedding the same way. Some shoot an entire wedding using only extreme angles.

Personally, I shoot with a photojournalistic style.  I believe in doing much more than just taking pictures of your wedding, I feel that my job is to tell a story of your very special day.  Instead of trying to take total control of your wedding pictures, I welcome any ideas and work closely with the bride and groom, to ensure that we get great pictures, that are exactly what you have always wanted..  I shoot what you want, where you want, and when you want it.

Sometimes the bride and groom don't want anything to do with the photography, other than to be in the pictures.  That's fine too.  No matter how involved you want to be in the photography process, I'll make sure everything runs smoothly, and that we get amazing photographs, that tell the story of one of the biggest days of your life..

I shoot both color and black and white at every wedding I photograph, and can do more of one than the other, if you so choose.

Todd's Philosophy

Your wedding will be full of little moments, that come together to tell the story of your very special day. Your love, body language, emotion, and traditions, as well as all of the special moments you didn't see, are what will make your wedding uniquely yours.

The fact that I graduated college with a degree in photojournalism has led me to use an unobtrusive, journalistic approach, in creating a photographic story of your wedding day.

Meeting & Planning

Weeks before your wedding, I feel it's important to meet in person. The reason for this is two fold. The first reason is that I very much want to get to know you. From my experience, the better I know someone, the more comfortable they usually feel around me, and my cameras, therefore creating more natural and genuine images.

The second reason is planning. There's no doubt, your wedding should be stress free. By discussing your wedding with you before hand, I can be sensitive to what's important to you on your big day, as well as be in all the right places at the right times without being to noticeable.

I know how hard it is to choose a wedding photographer and I'm happy to talk with you about any questions or comments you have. You're more than welcome to call me and discuss your wedding at any time. It would be an honor to be a part of such an important day.

While my  portraits are examples of technical photography, I try and outdo myself with mycandid shots. With a sense of humor and an uncanny sense of timing, I capture details overlooked by all but the finest photographers.

Before a wedding, I always consult with my clients to determine if the bride and groom have any ideas for photo's, to plan the timing of formal portraits and important shots,  to finalize any details, and to answer any questions there might be.  I prides myself on my ability to communicate with my clients and the other professionals involved in my clients' wedding. I quickly put couples at ease before, and more importantly, during their wedding. On a day of wedding promises and vows, Todd lives by his favorite: "We all promise to have fun!"
